AS Type - Stainless Steel

Features

The stainless steel gas spring offers support and thrust but does not have a locking function. It is filled with pressurized nitrogen, which generates a counterforce when compressed to support or offset the load.

It is generally recommended to install the gas spring with the shaft facing downward. This provides smooth cushioning at full extension and protects the mechanism. It also reduces dust accumulation at the oil seal and enhances the gas spring's support and thrust

Stainless steel gas springs are commonly used in environments where rust and moisture resistance is needed, particularly in the yacht industry, shipbuilding, and outdoor construction.
